Our story
Why Guided by Grace exists.
You should not have to separate your faith from your legal, financial, and family decisions.

Shannon Eusey
Co-founder, Beacon Pointe
Your faith shapes everything. Most plans leave it out.
How you protect your children. How you invest. How you prepare for the end of life, and what you pass on. Your faith speaks to all of it. Yet most plans treat faith as an afterthought, if they treat it at all. The documents protect the assets and leave out the very thing that holds the family together.
Guided by Grace began with two people who saw that gap from two different sides.
The legal side
Laura K. Meier, Esq.
Laura, a Catholic mother of four and an estate planning attorney, kept meeting families whose documents were finished but whose plans still felt spiritually empty. The paperwork protected their assets. It rarely reflected what they believed about stewardship, end-of-life care, or the faith they hoped to pass to their children.

The financial side
Shannon Eusey.
Shannon, also a Catholic mother of four and co-founder of Beacon Pointe, one of the nation’s largest independent registered investment advisory firms, saw the same gap from the financial side. Families wanted their money to serve what they believed. Few could find guidance that treated their faith as anything more than an afterthought.

So they built Guided by Grace together, so no Catholic family has to make the most important decisions of their lives through disconnected advice that leaves their faith out.
What began as two practices became something larger.
What we’re working toward
A movement to renew the Church,
one family at a time.
Our goal is to walk alongside one million Catholic families as they steward what God has given them, legally, financially, practically, and spiritually.
One million is not a vanity number. It is a tipping point. When that many families plan with their faith woven through every decision, the good does not stay private. It strengthens parishes. It sustains the works of mercy. It renews the Church, because the Church flourishes when her people steward well.
Stewardship is not an obligation. It is discipleship. Every good thing we have is a gift entrusted to us for a season, and to plan well is an act of love, for our families, for the Church, and for the generations still to come.
Faithful stewardship. Wise planning. Generous legacy.
Recognition
Both founders’ books carry the imprimatur of Bishop Kevin W. Vann of the Diocese of Orange. An imprimatur is a bishop’s formal declaration that a book is free of doctrinal error and faithfully presents Catholic teaching.
Guided by Grace and Your Dollars, Our Sense are the only Catholic estate planning and personal finance books to carry the imprimatur.
“In a world that often prioritizes the material over the spiritual, let us remember our true purpose. Our decisions and preparations today are a testament to our faith and the love we have for our families.”
Bishop Kevin W. Vann, foreword to Guided by Grace.

Laura K. Meier, Esq. with Bishop Kevin W. Vann, holding the Bishop’s Award for Exemplary Business Integrity, at the Orange Catholic Foundation Conference on Business and Ethics, March 2026.
“They not only explain best practices of spending, saving, buying cars and homes, and investing, but also how to bring one's marriage, family, faith, and principles into the process… I highly recommend it!”
Fr. Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., Ph.D., on Your Dollars, Our Sense.
President of the Magis Center of Reason and Faith.
